At the heart of every luxury home is a luxury kitchen, and this year has been no exception. It has been our honour to model and fit numerous dream kitchens around the country this year so far. With every kitchen comes a different balance of style, functionality and personal taste. Thus, choosing a top four of the year has been no less than a challenge, and so we have decided to include some designs that are not exclusive to 2021, but still stand out to us this year.
McNally Living recently modelled a kitchen for a family home in Donnybrook, Dublin, which achieved a balance of style and functionality perfectly. Stunning and inviting, this design is ideal for cooking, preparing, and entertaining. Our client wanted a multifunctional layout, suited to a modern lifestyle. The storage, pantry, cleaning, cooking, and refrigeration areas flow seamlessly into each other, ensuring overall efficiency. Fashioned in the concrete range, this kitchen is hand finished in Brasilia. An interplay of handles and handle-less surfaces creates an appealing, dynamic air. A Silestone worktop in Cyprus has a waterfall gable, which lends the design sleekness and definition. An antique mirror wall cladding adds just the right touch of elegance. Set by a wide set window, this area is illuminated by an abundance of natural light, which complements the dark hues and finishes. Although technically not fitted in 2021, this kitchen still remains a definite top of the list for recent kitchens. We wish this Donnybrook family all the best..
Refined designs using multiple materials are highly sought after this year. The above sample, which is currently available to view in our showrooms, presents handle-less units for a sleek appearance in a contemporary dream home. Steel, granite, and marble combine effortlessly to create a wholesome picture. Hand-crafted, oxidised steel doors in Bondi carbon grey possess a sense of understated elegance. Subtle lighting options allow for fine-tuning the atmosphere - something coveted by most of us in this year of home entertainment.
Another sought after show-room model, this aesthetically appealing, timelessly elegant kitchen's atmosphere is characterised by its matte lacquered frame fronts from the Le Corbusier colour spectrum. Reminiscent of a traditional kitchen, this design has a distinct allure. The sleek door finishes are in Bergamo Elm and Ombre Naturelle Moyenne. A timeless design, this kitchen is perfect fit not just for 2021, but for life.
Prior to 2021, we were delighted to work with Carroll Estateson the beautiful Shrewsbury housing development in Malahide – a stunning project coupling the finest architecture with state-of-the-art amenities. Today, it features again in our 2021 top designs as it stands out as a pure grandeur, elevating each of the homes involved. This showhouse kitchen is from the Leicht Bondi-C range in Mohair Super Matte, paired with Highland Oak in the Synthia-C range. This tasteful design has a smooth uncluttered look with its handleless doors. A Flex induction hob along with integrated Siemens appliances make the kitchen as functional as it is attractive. Another unique feature of this kitchen is the pocket door system, with a built-in workstation. Pull-out units possess a sleek steel finish, adding a subtle industrial touch. The island is defined on either end by an elegant waterfall gable, with a durable workstation in Calacatta Gold by Silestone.
